Day 3 - Cle Elum to Yakima

Quite cool in the morning - mid 40's - so I was in 2 layers and a wind jacket until close to 11:00. Patchy clouds with sun breaking thru.

I rode Highway 10 from Cle Elum to Ellensburg, and then Canyon Road from Ellensburg to Yakima.

Absolutely beautiful rides along the Yakima River, and a tail wind to Ellensburg was OK also.

Stopped in Ellensburg at about 9:30 for a snack and to check out the down town. Love those old-time Western towns. The architecture of the homes reminds me of Bozeman.

Yakima has 80,000 people and is an apple, cherry, peach metropolis. Huge packing and storage facilities. The orchards stretch out for miles.

Into the city at 2:00; hang out and explore downtown, and then ride 7 miles out of town for my first Warmshowers experience - very welcoming !!

Last day in Washington tomorrow - Kenniwick !!
